The greatest evangelist in our lifetime

Billy Graham’s greatness came from his humility!!!

God stopped me dead in my tracks to be sure I didn’t miss watching the memorial service for Billy Graham and to write a tribute to one of the greatest men of God in our lifetimes.

You see, at 8:04 am Eastern Time on Friday March 2, four hours before Billy Graham’s memorial service, we lost electric power at our home and as of now (three days later on Sunday March 4), the power remains off. As a result, I was forced to slow down, being unable to do my normal work. My wife Julia and I drove from Culpeper, Virginia to Massanutten, Virginia on Friday evening to spend a few days with my parents because they have heat, running water, and a warm house. [444]

The dates and timing of everything have all been divinely orchestrated by our Heavenly Father.

Billy Graham graduated to Heaven on February 21, 2018, hours before my first scheduled 3-way meeting with Mickey Robinson and Michael Johnson to discuss The Regathering: Empowering the Unfinished Jesus Movement. I believe The Regathering may turn out to be the most significant movement that Empower 2000, my business and ministry, is ever involved with.

Billy Graham’s memorial service was held in Charlotte, NC on Friday March 2. Very strong winds began blowing the night before in Virginia, North Carolina, Washington, DC and other places on the East Coast. Those strong winds caused us to lose electric power along with more than 140,000 other families in our area.

I believe those strong winds are a sign from Heaven that the strong wind of the Holy Spirit is blowing over the Earth and that we will see in the next few years the greatest harvest of souls the world has ever known.

Billy and his wife Ruth Graham had five children:

  1. Virginia Leftwich (Gigi) Graham (b. 1945), an inspirational speaker and author
  2. Anne Graham Lotz (b. 1948), runs AnGeL ministries;
  3. Ruth Graham (b. 1950), founder and president of Ruth Graham & Friends, leads conferences throughout the US and Canada;
  4. Franklin Graham (b. 1952), serves as president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and as president and CEO of international relief organization, Samaritan’s Purse; and
  5. Nelson Edman Graham (b. 1958), a pastor who runs East Gates Ministries International, which distributes Christian literature in China.

Jean Ford, Billy’s sole survivig sister, and each of Billy’s five children spoke at the memorial service. Their messages ministered deeply to me. I encourage you to STOP and watch the entire memorial service. Then ask God what He is saying to you through that.

Daughter Anne Graham Lotz, a Raleigh-based evangelist and founder of the nonprofit AnGeL Ministries, fired up the crowd (28 min mark) with some preaching and recalled her father’s probing questions during the family’s daily devotionals. She said, “My mother taught me by her example to love reading my Bible every day” and “My daddy, by his example, taught me to think about what I read.”

She went on to say, “I believe my father’s death is as significant as his life.” February 21, 2018 is the day the Jews focus on reading scriptures related to Moses liberating the Iraelites from captivity. Could it be that God is going to call. “This is a shot across the bow of Heaven, ‘Wake up church. Wake up world. Wake up Anne. Jesus is coming.”

The Comfort of Christ’s Coming

“1 Thessalonians 13-18 – “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

Anne Graham Lotz concluded by saying “I commit to my Daddy, ‘I will preach the Word.”

Nelson Graham said, “My father was FAT, Faithful, Available, and Teachable. May we all be that way.”

May your heart be opened and healed in every aspect!

Blessings to enjoy and meditate on Billy Graham’s last crusade – his memorial service!
